The workplace is not designed for our modern lives.
78% of UK companies have a gender pay gap in favour of men because of a lack of senior woman. The single biggest contributor is motherhood. The workplace was designed when men worked outside the home and when raised families. Life has changed, but the workplace has not. In fact, the workplace does not work for a lot of the population: parents, women, carers, ethnic minorities... the list goes on.
We believe that flexible working is a viable way to get more women progressing in the workplace. However, flexible working has to be open to everyone, not just women, to ensure that women don't continue to be penalised for working "differently". Not enough employers are vocal enough about roles that could be open to flexible working, especially at a mid-senior level.
We're creating a platform to help employers build talent pools of highly qualified women. We'll do this by helping candidates and employers find each other based on things that matter for long-term success like workplace culture.
